Try a the different preset on your photo by selecting the Preset button, then scroll through the list and click on a preset to see your photo instantly adjusted with the preset setting. For those just starting out, the presets are a good starting point. Intensify comes with a ton of Preset settings for a variety of different types of shots. To get the full features of Intensify CK you need to purchase it direct from Macphun. There is a version of Intensify in the Mac App store, but it is a scaled down version and does not include the Plug-in support as mentioned above. (Look for a special limited time discount at the end of this review) You can also get it as part of the Creative Kit. List price is $59.99 for the standalone application.

First, this is a Mac OS only application. If you are like me and what to enhance the natural beauty of the photos you are taking, take a look at Intensify Pro.I’ll get the basic information out of the way first before getting into my comments and review. It focuses on one piece of making photos beautiful without a lot of bells and whistles. It’s a fantastic option to create vibrant, beautiful photos quickly and efficiently. Intensify Pro also allows users to open edited images in iPhoto, Photoshop, Aperture and Lightroom in addition to other MacPhun software such as Snapheal, FX Photo Studio and Focus 2. When you save the image, it is saved as an Intensify-type file, which allows users to go back into it to make additional changes. You can also share finished pieces with social networks, email contacts and photo sharing sites like Flickr and SmugMug. So, you aren’t limited to one set of filters to make the image you want.Īnother really cool feature of Intensify Pro is it comes equipped with the MacPhun/MilkBooks partnership, which allows for easy ordering of printed postcards, notecards, gallery prints or even canvas prints. The neat thing about the edits is that Intensify works with layers like Photoshop. Once you have loaded your image, you start adding filters, which are preset, but adjustable to your liking. Intensify also utilizes drag and drop technology, which makes it even easier to work with. To use Intensify, you simply open an image you want to edit. The amazing thing to me was how easy it was to edit the image. So, I dropped the photo into Intensify to bring out its true color beauty. It wasn’t true to what my eyes saw at the zoo.
The photograph I took made the Macaw appear dull. If you’ve been lucky enough to see one of these animals in person, you know they have a vibrant blue color to their feathers. While I was happy with the composure and ‘action’ in the shots, the color was lacking on one of the animals – the Hyacinth Macaw. I recently made a trip to our local zoo and snapped some shots of the animals.

Intensify Pro by Macphun is an award-winning photo editing app for Mac that helps users to reveal the “real” beauty of photographs. The point in my describing my photography skills is to highlight some wonderful software that helps to enhance natural photographs. I do feel like I have a ‘good eye’ for action/candid shots and probably the most important element of this equation is that I have a passion for photography. I have an above average knowledge of the way my camera works, but I don’t use a lot of in-camera filters or lens to enhance natural photos. I would classify myself as a proficient photographer. Intensify Pro helps to bring out the natural beauty of photographs.
